Position Attachments for
VMS Sync supports direct upload of position attachments to Salesforce ATS as part of the position create and update process. This allows Salesforce users to receive documents attached to VMS positions without requiring an Amazon S3 bucket.
How It Works
When the Salesforce Direct Attachment Upload feature is enabled, VMS Sync downloads attachments from the VMS along with position data and uploads them to Salesforce as ContentDocuments. The uploaded attachment is accessible through the Fyre Sync Req record, which includes a link to the corresponding ContentDocument. Attachments are not displayed directly on the Job record.
If the S3 Attachment Integration feature is also enabled on the account, it will override the Salesforce Direct Attachment Upload feature. For more information, see Company Mapping.
Prerequisites
-
An active VMS Sync account with a Salesforce ATS.
-
The VMS must support position attachment download.
-
The Salesforce Direct Attachment Upload Account Feature must be enabled. Contact VMS Sync Support to enable this feature.
-
The Position Attachments credential feature must be enabled on the relevant credential.
Enabling Position Attachments
Salesforce Direct Attachment Upload is an Account Feature that must be enabled by VMS Sync Support. To request enablement:
-
Submit a ticket to VMS Sync Support requesting that the Salesforce Direct Attachment Upload Account Feature be turned on for your account.
-
Once the Account Feature is enabled, confirm that the Position Attachments credential feature is set to On for each credential that should download and upload attachments.
The Position Attachments credential feature controls whether VMS Sync downloads attachments from the VMS. Both the Account Feature and the credential feature must be enabled for attachments to upload to Salesforce.
Accessing Uploaded Attachments in Salesforce
Once attachments are uploaded, they can be accessed through the Fyre Sync Req record in Salesforce. The Fyre Sync Req record includes a link to the corresponding ContentDocument for each uploaded attachment.
Uploaded attachments are linked to the Fyre Sync Req record and are not displayed directly on the Salesforce Job record.
